Removing Heat Exchanger Supply Hose (R4 Without Auxiliary Heater)

1. Remove heat exchanger supply hose -1-  from connection on the engine side.

   Heat exchanger supply hose connection on engine side (R4 without auxiliary heater)

   1. 1.1 Loosen spring band clamp -2-  using > VAS 6890 - spring band clamp pliers  and pull off heat exchanger supply hose -1-  .
      1. 1.1.1 Soak up any emerging coolant using suitable aids.
   2. 1.2 Guide heat exchanger supply hose -1-  through the hose sleeve -3-  out of the engine compartment into the plenum panel.
2. Remove heat exchanger supply hose -1-  .

Heat exchanger supply hose on heat exchanger connection piece

1. 2.1 Loosen spring band clamp -2-  using > VAS 6890 - spring band clamp pliers  and pull heat exchanger supply hose -1-  off the heat exchanger connection piece.
   1. 2.1.1 Soak up any emerging coolant using suitable aids.
2. 2.2 Disconnect heat exchanger supply hose -1-  from connection piece -3-  and guide it out of the plenum panel.
