Subsequent Work

- Teach PSM control unit.
- Bleed the brake system (in the conventional way).
- Bleed the brake system using the PIWIS Tester
.
- 3.1 Connect the PIWIS Tester to the vehicle and switch on the ignition.
- 3.2 Select the PSM control unit in the control unit overview and confirm by pressing F12.
- 3.3 Select the Maintenance/repairs menu item.
- 3.4 Select Bleed brakes , confirm with F12 and follow the instructions on the PIWIS Tester .
- Carry out a swap test using the PIWIS Tester

- 4.1 Connect the PIWIS Tester to the vehicle and switch on the ignition.
- 4.2 Select the PSM control unit in the control unit overview and confirm by pressing F12.
- 4.3 Select the Maintenance/repairs menu item.
- 4.4 Select Hydraulic swap test , confirm with F12 and follow the instructions on the PIWIS Tester .
- Carry out a function test.
- 5.1 During the test drive, perform at least one ABS control operation , taking the road conditions into consideration.
- 5.2 On vehicles with double clutch transmission, check the HOLD function. If the combination sensor has been taught incorrectly, the HOLD function will not be active for inclines of more than 5%.
- 5.3 Read out the fault memory. There must be no faults stored.
- Install front left trim panel.
