Removing Hydraulic Unit

  1. Remove pressure hose -1-  .

    Pressure hose

    1. 1.1 Loosen screw-type clamps -2-  and remove pressure hose -1-  .
  2. For V6 turbo engines only: 

    Disconnect vacuum line -1-  .

    Vacuum line

    1. 2.1 Release and pull off quick-connecting lock of the vacuum line -2-  .
    2. 2.2 Hang vacuum line -1-  to the side.
  3. Loosen brake lines -1 to 6-  on the hydraulic unit.

    Brake lines on hydraulic unit

    1. 3.1 Unscrew union nuts -7 to 12-  .
    2. 3.2 Disconnect brake lines -1 to 6-  from hydraulic unit.
    3. 3.3 Soak up escaping brake fluid using cloths and close off line connections using suitable stoppers.
    4. 3.4 Set brake lines -1 to 6-  aside.
  4. Release and disconnect electric plug connection for hydraulic unit -1-  .

    Electric plug connection for hydraulic unit

    1. 4.1 Unlock lock -2-  on cable plug -1-  in -direction of arrow-  .
    2. 4.2 Pull cable plug off hydraulic unit -1-  .
  5. Remove hydraulic unit -1-  .

    Hydraulic unit

    1. 5.1 Pull hydraulic unit -1-  and holder up and off together -Arrow-  .
    2. 5.2 Guide hydraulic unit -1-  out of the vehicle.
