Filling Air In Air Suspension System

Information
Only nitrogen 5.0 may be used for filling the air suspension system.
- Only use compressed gas bottles with the required pressure reducer unit and pressure gauge.
- The air suspension system must be filled to a pressure of at least > Pressure + 16 bar .
- The air suspension system may be filled to a maximum pressure of > Pressure +17 bar .
- Wheels must be suspended freely.
- The ignition must be switched on.
- Unscrew connection -1-

- 1.1 Unscrew valve pin -1-

- 1.3 Open compressed gas bottle and set > Pressure of max. +17 bar (shown as an example in the image!)

- 1.1 Unscrew valve pin -1-

- Connect the PIWIS Tester to the vehicle and start it. Switch on ignition.
- Start the diagnostic software.
- Select Levelling system/PASM control unit.
- Select Maintenance/repairs tab
- Press F12 to select Filling air spring system .
- Follow the instructions on the Tester.
- Erase fault memory with F8.
- Fit front right air line.
> Tightening - torque 3 Nm (2 ftlb.)
End the Filling air spring system procedure.
