Filling Air In Air Suspension System

Information 

Only nitrogen 5.0 may be used for filling the air suspension system.

  1. Unscrew connection -1-  from right air-spring strut front.

    1. 1.1 Unscrew valve pin -1-  using > Nr.164 Pos.5 - valve screwdriver  from > 9825 - adapter.-2-

    2. 1.2 > 9825 - Connect adapter-1-  and > 9825/1 - connecting line-2-  to compressed gas bottle of nitrogen and > VAS 6629A - nitrogen charging set for air suspension struts  .

    3. 1.3 Open compressed gas bottle and set > Pressure of max. +17 bar  (shown as an example in the image!)

  2. Connect the PIWIS Tester  to the vehicle and start it. Switch on ignition.
  3. Start the diagnostic software.
  4. Select Levelling system/PASM  control unit.
  5. Select Maintenance/repairs  tab
  6. Press F12 to select Filling air spring system  .
  7. Follow the instructions on the Tester.
  8. Erase fault memory with F8.
  9. Fit front right air line.

    > Tightening - torque 3 Nm (2 ftlb.) 

    End the Filling air spring system  procedure.
