Draining Oil For Transfer Box

Information 

To ensure that the transfer gear is filled correctly, a total of 500 ml.  of oil must be drained and extracted.

Use only oil approved by Porsche.

Information 

The oil for the transfer box does not have a fixed maintenance interval for this model. During servicing, the wear integrator is read out using the PIWIS Tester and the required amount of oil can be determined accordingly.

1. Drain oil for transfer box. -1-  .
   1. 1.1  Unscrew inspection plug and filler screw -1-  .
   2. 1.2  Unscrew oil drain plug -2-  and collect emerging oil in a measuring cup.
   3. 1.3  Replace oil drain plug -2-  and tighten to the specified torque.

      > Tightening - torque 20 Nm (15 ftlb.)

2. Extract oil at the transfer box -1-  .
   1. 2.1  Use > VAS 6563 - transmission fluid filler pump set  and > VAS 6563/4 - adapter-2-  to extract residual oil through the inspection plug and filler screw opening -3-  .
