Removing Rear Final Drive

Electric line for servo motor for rear-differential lock

1. 1.1  Release and detach the cable plug -2-  .
2. 1.2  Unclip clips -3-  .

   Information 

   You will need a second mechanic to help you with this step.

Rear final drive

Information 

Always use an intermediate layer (e.g. hard rubber) when using the jack!

1. 2.1  > VAS 6931 - Engine and gearbox jack  must be positioned under the final drive using a suitable support.
2. 2.2  Carefully support the final drive using > VAS 6931 - en  g ine and  g earbox jack  .
3. 2.3  Remove screws -2-  and -3-  .
4. 2.4  Turn down the rear final drive -Arrow-  and guide it out. Get another person to help guide the final drive out of the vehicle.
