Removing Tie Rod

Information 

• If the tie rod is replaced, the marking for the old tie rod on the wheel side must be copied to the new tie rod. 

1. Remove tie rod -1-  .

   Tie rod ball joint

   1. 1.1 Fit > V.A.G 1923 - open-end spanner insert, a/f 38  at the octagon -2-  of the tie rod -1-  and loosen the tie rod -1-  .
   2. 1.2 Unscrew and remove tie rod -1-  from the rack-and-pinion -3-  .
