Removing Steering Column (Centre)

  1. Disconnect steering column -1-  from steering jackshaft -3-  .

    Mounting for steering column on intermediate steering shaft

    1. 1.1 Unscrew screw -2-  .
    2. 1.2 Disconnect steering jackshaft -3-  with universal joint from steering column -1-  .
  2. Release and disconnect electric plug connection -1-  .

  3. Loosen the steering column -2-  at the bottom.

    Mounting for steering column, bottom

    1. 3.1 Unscrew screws -1-  .
  4. Loosen the steering column -3-  at the top on the retaining frame and remove it.

    Mounting for steering column, top

    1. 4.1 Unscrew screws -1 and 2-  on the steering column.
    2. 4.2 Pull the steering column -3-  back slightly, lower it and guide it out.
