Installing Fuel Line

1. 1.1  Replace adapter -3-  .
2. 1.2  Tighten adapter -3-  .
   • Tightening torque 40 Nm (30 ftlb.) 
3. 1.3  Coat bearings of the fuel line with clean engine oil.
4. 1.4  Move fuel line -1-  into installation position.
5. 1.5  Fit union nut on rail -2-  and on high-pressure pump by hand.
6. 1.6  Tighten union nut on rail -2-  and counter at the adapter for the rail -3-  at the same time.
   • Tightening torque 20 Nm (15 ftlb.)

Fitting fuel line

1. 2.1  Replace adapter -3-  .
2. 2.2  Tighten adapter -3-  .
   • Tightening torque 40 Nm (30 ftlb.) 
3. 2.3  Tighten union nut on high-pressure pump -2-  and counter at the adapter for the high-pressure pump -3-  at the same time.
   • Tightening torque 40 Nm (30 ftlb.) 
4. 2.4  Tighten screw on line bracket -4-  .
   • Tightening torque 5 Nm (3.5 ftlb.)

Fuel line

1. 3.1  Move engine suspension eyelet -1-  together with holder into installation position.
2. 3.2  Screw in and tighten new  screws on engine suspension eyelet -3-  .
   • Initial tightening 8 Nm (6 ftlb.) 
   • Final tightening + 90° 
3. 3.3  Screw on and tighten nut on heat protection -4-  .
   • Tightening torque 8 Nm (6 ftlb.) 
4. 3.4  Secure engine wire harness guide -2-  on engine suspension eyelet -1-  .
