Installing High-Pressure Pump

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.

Check roller tappet for signs of damage and replace it if necessary.
Insert roller tappet and check twist lock.
Install high-pressure pump -1- .
1. 3.1 Only if re-using a high-pressure pump that was already used:
  Replace adapter for the fuel line (high-pressure).
  - Tightening torque 40 Nm (30 ftlb.)
2. 3.2 Only if re-using a high-pressure pump that was already used:
  Replace O-ring on high-pressure pump -1- .
3. 3.3 Turn the crankshaft until the roller tappet is set to its lowest point.
4. 3.4 Insert high-pressure pump -1- .
5. 3.5 Screw in new screws on the high-pressure pump -2- alternately and evenly by hand as far as they will go and tighten them.
  - Tightening torque 20 Nm (15 ftlb.)

Connect high-pressure pump connections -1- .

4.1 Push on quick connector on fuel line -2- until the locking mechanism engages.

4.2 Connect and lock electric plug connection for high-pressure pump -3- .
