Installing Air-Cleaner Element

Air cleaner housing cover and air-cleaner element

1. 1.1  Position air cleaner housing cover -1-  on air cleaner element -2-  and make sure that the seal is fitted correctly -3-  .
2. 1.2  Push air cleaner housing cover -1-  _ together with air-cleaner element -2-  into the housing from above.

Fastening bolts

• Loosen and tighten fastening bolts only in the specified direction. 
• Turn fastening bolts by max. 90°, otherwise the guide lugs will break off. 
• Replace damaged fastening bolts.

Intake manifold on air cleaner housing

1. 2.1  Position intake manifold -1-  on air cleaner housing.
2. 2.2  Insert fastening bolts -2-  into the air cleaner housing and secure by turning them in -direction of arrow-  .
   • Torque angle 90°

Upper part of air cleaner housing

1. 3.1  Position upper part of air cleaner housing -1-  .
2. 3.2  Tighten screws -2-  .
   • Tightening torque 3.5 Nm (2.5 ftlb.)
