Removing Catalytic Converter

CAUTION: Hot components

Risk of burns
1. → Let hot components cool down.
2. → Wear personal protective gear.

Loosen the front silencer -1- on the catalytic converter.

Catalytic converter flange
1. 1.1 Unscrew nuts -2- .
2. 1.2 Pull front silencer -1- down.
3. 1.3 Replace seal -3- and nuts.
Remove catalytic converter -1- .

Catalytic converter for V6 monoturbo
1. 2.1 Unscrew the screws -2- on the spring/tab assembly.
2. 2.2 Loosen V-band clamp -3- .
3. 2.3 Remove the catalytic converter -1- in an upward direction.
4. 2.4 Replace V-band clamp -3- .
Replace seal -1- .
