Replacing Control Mechanism For Transmission

NOTIFICATION 

Programming/coding will be aborted if the WiFi connection is unstable. 

Information 

The procedure described here is based on the > 9900 - PIWIS Tester 3  test software version 37.600.050  .

The PIWIS Tester instructions take precedence and in the event of a discrepancy, these are the instructions that must be followed.

A discrepancy may arise with later software versions for example.

NOTIFICATION 

Voltage drop 

  1. Connect the PIWIS Tester  to the vehicle.
    1. 1.1  Switch on the ignition using he original driver's key.  For vehicles with "Porsche Entry & Drive", do this by replacing the control panel in the ignition lock with the original driver's key if necessary.
    2. 1.2  Connect the PIWIS Tester  to the vehicle communication module (VCI) via the USB cable.  Then connect the communication module to the vehicle and switch on the PIWIS Tester. 
    3. 1.3  On the PIWIS Tester start screen, call up the 'Diagnostics'  menu.
  2. Program control mechanism for transmission. 
    1. 2.1  In the Control unit overview,  select the control unit PDK (Porsche Doppelkupplung)  and go to the Coding/programming  menu.
    2. 2.2  Select Automatic programming  and press F12 to start.
    3. 2.3  Allow Automatic programming to run, following the instructions in the PIWIS Tester  where necessary.
  3. Teach engine immobiliser. 
    1. 3.1  Open the Additional menu  in the Control unit overview. 
    2. 3.2  Select Immobiliser commissioning  and press F12 to start.
    3. 3.3  Follow the instructions in the PIWIS Tester  and allow the teaching process to run.
  4. Calibrate control mechanism for transmission. 
    1. 4.1  In the Control unit overview,  select the control unit PDK (porsche Doppelkupplung)  and go to the Maintenance/repairs  menu.
    2. 4.2  Select Calibration  and press F12 to access further options.
    3. 4.3  Select Calibration after replacing mechatronics (hydraulics and control unit)  and press F12 to start the calibration process.
    4. 4.4  Follow the instructions in the PIWIS Tester  and allow the calibration process to run.
    5. 4.5  Erase fault memory.
  5. Code control mechanism for transmission. 
    1. 5.1  In the Control unit overview,  select the control unit PDK (Porsche Doppelkupplung)  and go to the Coding/programming  menu.
    2. 5.2  Select Automatic coding  and press F12 to start.
    3. 5.3  Allow Automatic coding to run, following the instructions in the PIWIS Tester  where necessary.
  6. Disconnect the PIWIS Tester  from the vehicle.
  7. Switch off the ignition.
  8. For vehicles with "Porsche Entry & Drive", replace the original driver's key in the ignition lock with the control panel if necessary.
