Removing Sealing Ring For Front Output Shaft

Information 

• When the transmission is disassembled, the sealing ring on the transmission side can be removed using a screwdriver. 

Information 

• Risk of damage to the bearing cage of the ball bearing behind the sealing ring. Do not press drift punch and tapping screw in too far. 

1. Remove outer sealing ring for front output shaft.

   Sealing ring with puller set

   1. 1.1  Make a small hole at a non-rubberised area of the outer sealing ring using a drift punch.
   2. 1.2  Screw in a tapping screw with a large head.
   3. 1.3  Using the > VAS 6965 - puller set-1-  , remove outer sealing ring for front output shaft.

   Information

2. Remove inner sealing ring for front output shaft.

   1. 2.1  Make a small hole at a non-rubberised area of the inner sealing ring using a drift punch.
   2. 2.2  Screw in a tapping screw with a large head.
   3. 2.3  Using the > VAS 6965 - puller set-1-  , remove inner sealing ring for front output shaft.
