Removing Steering-Gear Housing Bellows

Information 

• Make sure that no dirt gets into the power-steering gear and bellows when removing and installing the bellows. 

1. Unscrew lock nut for tie-rod ball -1-  from tie rod -2-  .

2. Loosen spring band clamp -Arrow-  using > VAS 6890 - spring band clamps pliers  .

3. Open inner clamp -1-  using suitable pliers.

4. Pull steering-gear housing bellows -3-  together with the two clamps off the tie rod -2-  .
