Removing Intermediate Steering Shaft

Information 

• The sealing bellows and intermediate steering shaft are one unit. 
• The sealing bellows cannot be removed from the intermediate steering shaft. 

1. Loosen intermediate steering shaft -3-  from the steering column -1-  .

   Mounting for steering column on intermediate steering shaft

   1. 1.1 Unscrew screw -2-  .
   2. 1.2 Pull intermediate steering shaft -3-  off the steering column -1-  .
2. Remove intermediate steering shaft -1-  from the steering gear -3-  .

   Mounting for intermediate steering shaft on steering gear

   1. 2.1 Unscrew screw -2-  .
   2. 2.2 Pull intermediate steering shaft -1-  off the steering gear -3-  .
3. Release sealing bellows -1-  at the tabs -Arrows-  and guide it into the passenger compartment.

4. Guide intermediate steering shaft -1-  out of the passenger compartment -Arrow-  .
