Installing Steering Column (Centre)

Installation is performed in reverse order. Pay particular attention to the following:

1. Screw in screws -1 and 2-  for the steering column -3-  at the top on the retaining frame, but do not tighten yet.

2. Screw in screws -1-  for the steering column -2-  at the bottom, but do not tighten yet.

3. Tighten screws -1 and 2-  .

   > Tightening - torque 20 Nm (14.8 ftlb.)

4. Tighten screws -1-  .

   > Tightening - torque 20 Nm (14.8 ftlb.)

5. Fit intermediate steering shaft -3-  as far as it will go onto the steering column -1-  .

   Information 

   Always replace the clamping screw on the universal joint.

6. Replace, fit and tighten screw on universal joint -2-  .

   > Initial - tightening 20 Nm (14.8 ftlb.)
