Battery Trickle Charging

Information 

• When working or carrying out tests on the vehicle or when the vehicle is in the workshop, a battery charger with a rated current of at least 90 A must be connected. 
• As soon as the vehicle is unlocked, e.g. the vehicle is in the workshop or salesroom, it must be trickle charged using a battery charger. 

1. Switch off battery charging device.
2. Switch off ignition and keep transmitter key outside of the transmission range (at least 2 m).
3. Switch off all loads (e.g. lights).
4. Open protective cover on the positive terminal for jump-lead starting.
5. First, connect the positive cable to the positive terminal for jump-lead starting, then to the positive terminal of the donor battery.
6. First, connect the negative cable to the negative terminal of the donor battery, then to the ground point for jump-lead starting.
7. Set the charge current on the battery charger according to the battery capacity.
8. Switch on battery charger.
