Removing Radiator

WARNING:
Hot fluid
- Danger of scalding
- → Let the fluid cool down.
- → Wear personal protective gear.
WARNING:
Working with ATF
- Possible danger of injury or damage (e.g. swollen hoses, skin irritation, danger of slipping, etc.)
- → Before lines are opened, place a cloth underneath them!
- → Components that come into contact with ATF must be cleaned IMMEDIATELY with water!
- → Take appropriate protective measures (protective clothing, safety goggles, oil binding material)
- → Collect emerging ATF!
Information
After disconnecting hoses, close off all openings immediately using commercially available rubber stoppers.
When fitting parts, do not remove stoppers until shortly before installation. Likewise, do not remove the protective foil from the dryer until just before installation. The dryer absorbs moisture from the air and is then useless.
Information
- Never bend the vanes of the radiator.
- Place a suitable container under the radiator to collect escaping coolant.
- Release and disconnect electric plug connection -1-

Electric plug connection
- Disconnect ATF lines -1 and 2-

ATF lines
- 3.1 Unscrew screw -3- on lower ATF line -1- .
- 3.2 Unscrew screw -3- on upper ATF line -2- .
- 3.3 Disconnect ATF lines -1 and 2- , collect any escaping coolant and close off line connections using suitable stoppers.
- Disconnect coolant hoses -1 and 2-

Coolant hoses
- 4.1 Loosen safety clip -3- on upper coolant hose -1- .
- 4.2 Loosen safety clip -3- on lower coolant hose -2- .
- 4.3 Disconnect coolant hoses -1 and 2- and close off line connections using suitable stoppers.
- 4.4 Loosen safety clip -3- on return line -4- .
- 4.5 Disconnect return line -4- and close off line connections using suitable stoppers.
- Remove radiator -1-

Radiator
- 5.1 Unscrew screws on radiator holder at the bottom -2- and remove radiator -1- by pulling it forward.
