Removing Coolant Regulator Housing

WARNING: Hot fluid

Danger of scalding
1. → Let the fluid cool down.
2. → Wear personal protective gear.

NOTIFICATION

Cooling circuit not filled correctly

Risk of damage to vehicle components
1. → After relieving the system pressure, do not start the engine or high-voltage system.
2. → Fill and bleed the cooling system correctly before starting the engine or high-voltage system.

Release and disconnect cable plug -1- .

Disconnect coolant hoses -1 to 3- .

Coolant hoses on coolant regulator housing
1. 2.1 Lift up spring clamps on the quick connectors -4 to 6- .
2. 2.2 Disconnect coolant hoses -1 to 3- from the coolant regulator housing.
3. 2.3 Catch any escaping coolant and close off line connections using suitable stoppers.
Remove coolant regulator housing -6- .

Coolant regulator housing
1. 3.1 Unscrew screws on coolant regulator housing -1 to 5- .
2. 3.2 Loosen coolant regulator housing -6- from the cylinder block and remove it from the dowel sleeves.
3. 3.3 Pull coolant regulator housing -6- with connecting piece -7- off the oil cooler -8- (-arrow A-) .
4. 3.4 Catch any escaping coolant and close off line connections using suitable stoppers.
