Installing Coolant Regulator Housing

Connecting piece for oil cooler/coolant regulator housing

1. 1.1  Pull connecting piece -1-  off the coolant regulator housing.
2. 1.2  Replace both O-rings -2-  on the connecting piece -1-  and coat new O-rings -2-  with coolant.
3. 1.3  Remove stoppers.
4. 1.4  Insert connecting piece -1-  in the oil cooler -3-  .

1. 2.1  Clean sealing surfaces.
2. 2.2  Replace seal on coolant regulator housing.
3. 2.3  Make sure that both centring pins are inserted in the cylinder block.

1. 3.1  Remove stoppers.
2. 3.2  Push coolant regulator housing -6-  onto connection piece -7-  .
3. 3.3  Fit coolant regulator housing -6-  on the centring pins on the cylinder block.
4. 3.4  Fit screws for the coolant regulator housing -1 to 5-  is far as they will go by hand.
5. 3.5  Tighten screws on coolant regulator housing in the sequence -1 to 5-  .

> Tightening - torque 9 Nm (6.5 ftlb.)
