Removing Drive Belt For Coolant Pump

CAUTION: Hot components 
  • Risk of burns 
    1. → Let hot components cool down.
    2. → Wear personal protective gear.
  1. Remove drive belt cover -1-  .

    Coolant pump drive belt cover

    1. 1.1  Release and disconnect cable Plug on oil pressure switch -3-  .
    2. 1.2  Unscrew screws on drive belt cover -2-  .
    3. 1.3  Remove drive belt cover -1-  .

    Information 

    The screw of the coolant pump drive belt pulley has a left-hand thread.

    Information 

    You will need a second mechanic to help you with this step.

  2. Remove drive belt for coolant pump -1-  .

    Coolant pump drive belt

    1. 2.1  Loosen screw on drive belt pulley -2-  using a torque wrench and T10360 - insert tool, 12 mm  and get a second mechanic to counter at the crank shaft at the same time.
    2. 2.2  Unscrew screw on drive belt pulley -2-  by three turns.
    3. 2.3  Loosen drive belt pulley -3-  and remove drive belt.
