Removing Coolant Reservoir

  1. Loosen coolant reservoir -1-  .

    Coolant reservoir

    1. 1.1  Release and disconnect cable plug -2-  and set it aside.
    2. 1.2  Release and disconnect quick connector -3-  and unclip line -4-  from the coolant reservoir -1-  .
    3. 1.3  Catch escaping coolant and close off line connections using suitable stoppers.
    4. 1.4  Unscrew screw on coolant reservoir -5-  .
    5. 1.5  Remove coolant reservoir -1-  from holders -6-  and position it so that the coolant hoses are accessible.
  2. Remove coolant reservoir -1-  .

    Coolant hoses on coolant reservoir

    1. 2.1  Loosen spring band clamp -2-  using VAS 6890 - spring band clamp pliers  and pull coolant hose -3-  off the coolant reservoir -1-  .
    2. 2.2  Lift up safety clip on the quick connector -4-  and pull coolant hose -5-  off the coolant reservoir -1-  .
    3. 2.3  Catch escaping coolant and close off line connections using suitable stoppers.
    4. 2.4  Guide coolant reservoir -1-  out of the vehicle.
