Checking Engine Oil Pressure (Oil Spray Jets)

WARNING:
Hot fluid
- Danger of scalding
- → Let the fluid cool down.
- → Wear personal protective gear.
- Engine oil temperature must be at least 80°C.
- Remove oil-pressure sender for reduced oil pressure (-F378-).
- Preparing for measurement
- 3.1 V.A.G 1342 - Oil pressure tester must be screwed in instead of the oil-pressure sender for reduced oil pressure (-F378-).
- 3.2 Screw oil-pressure sender for reduced oil pressure (-F378-) into the V.A.G 1342 - oil pressure tester .
- 3.3 VAS 5571 Adapter for measuring equipment must be connected to the oil-pressure sender for reduced oil pressure (-F378-).
- 3.4 Connect cable plug for oil-pressure sender for reduced oil pressure (-F378-) to VAS 5571 adapter for measuring equipment.
- Check engine oil pressure (oil spray jets) using the PIWIS Tester

- 4.1 Connect the PIWIS Tester to the vehicle and switch on the PIWIS Tester.
- 4.2 Switch on ignition.
- 4.3 Start diagnostics.
- 4.4 Select Engine electronics DME R4 control unit.
- 4.5 Select the "Actual values" tab.
- 4.6 Select the "Oil pressure control." group and press F12 to continue.
- 4.7 Select measured values "Oil pressure switch for piston spray nozzles" and press F12 to continue.
- 4.8 Press F8 to start.
- Switch off ignition, remove test tools and PIWIS Tester.
