Test Conditions
Information
Always pay particular attention to the following before raising the vehicle:
- The levelling system must be deactivated before raising the vehicle (the levelling system button must be pressed and held for at least 10 seconds).
- If a transmission range has to be engaged while the vehicle is raised, the levelling system must first be deactivated using the PIWIS Tester:
To do this, >>Levelling system/PASM<<>>Drive links/checks<<>>Activate/deactivate levelling system (without wheel rotation detection)<< must be selected in the control unit overview.
The value "Deactivate levelling system (permanently)" must then be selected and the function performed by pressing "Start"/F8.
The levelling system must be reactivated when the work is complete:
To do this, >>Levelling system/PASM<<>>Drive links/checks<<>>Activate/deactivate levelling system (without wheel rotation detection)>> must be selected in the control unit overview.
The value "Activate levelling system" must then be selected and the function performed by pressing "Start"/F8.
- All functions (e.g. bleeding/filling) of the PASM control unit are deactivated as soon as the levelling system has been deactivated using the function >>Activate/deactivate levelling system (without wheel rotation detection)<<.
- Transmission must not be in limp-home mode.
- Warm up transmission in lower load range. Switch all transmission ranges several times while doing so.
- Read out the ATF temperature using the PIWIS Tester.
- ATF temperature: 30 - 50°C.
- Selector lever is in position P.
- Parking brake actuated.
- Test and filling process at idle speed.
- Air conditioning and heating switched off.
- The ATF temperature must not be higher than 30°C at the beginning of the test.
- If the ATF temperature is higher than 30°C, let the transmission cool down.
