- Installing heat shield front axle carrier.
> 404319 - REMOVING AND INSTALLING SHIELD (FRONT AXLE CARRIER) - PORTION ON "INSTALLING"
- 1.1 Tighten M6 screws: > Tightening - torque 9 Nm (6.5 ftlb.)
- 1.2 Tighten M8 screw: > Tightening - torque 20 Nm (15 ftlb.)
- Shock absorber fork (install spring strut fork).
> 408919 - REMOVE AND INSTALL SHOCK ABSORBER FORK - PORTION ON "INSTALLING"
- Tighten screw for drive shaft. -1-
- 3.1 Lower the vehicle as far as required so that the wheel is not on the floor.
- 3.2 Tighten the screw on the drive shaft -1-
to the specified initial tightening torque and get a helper to press the brake at the same time.
> Tightening - torque 200 Nm (148 ftlb.)
- 3.3 Lower the vehicle.
- 3.4 Tighten the screw on the drive shaft -1-
and also get a second mechanic to press the brake at the same time.
> Torque angle 180°
- 3.5 Fit wheel trim cover. -2-
