Removing Sun Blind

Information 

• The number of fastening screws, fixing clips, plug connections, holders and trim panels can vary depending on equipment. 
• The illustrations for removing and installing the drive mechanism are shown only on one equipment variant and may differ from the actual equipment variant. 
• Some steps must be carried out automatically. 
• Some of the repair illustrations show only one side of the vehicle. 

1. Loosen sun blind strut.
   1. 1.1  Press down the locking mechanism -3-  on the left side -arrow A-  .

   2. 1.2  Push aluminium section -4-  completely to the left side -arrow B-  .
   3. 1.3  On the opposite side, push the aluminium section -4-  towards the rear and off the sun blind slider -2- (-arrow C-)  .
   4. 1.4  Pull aluminium section -4-  at the side completely off the sun blind

2. Remove safety clip -1-  for sun blind.

3. Carefully lift up the locking hook on the sun blind slider -2-  using a flat screwdriver -3- (-arrow A-)  and remove the sun blind -1-  together with the driver -4-  from the sun blind slider -2-  by pulling it towards the rear -arrow B-  .

4. Unscrew screw -2-  for the sun blind -1-  at the sun blind slider -3-  .

   Loosen barbed hook and press fabric centering element to the rear until the fabric centering element can be lifted.

5. Loosen screws on panoramic roof frame as far as the centre.
6. Pull the sun blind -1-  complete with the sun blind holders -2-  and drivers -4-  out of the sun blind module -3- (-arrow-)  .
