Replacing Roof Assembly Seal (On Body Side): Notes

Roof assembly seal (on body side)

1. 1.1  Pull roof assembly seal (on body side) -1-  at the bonding surface -3-  off the roof -2-  .
2. 1.2  Remove any adhesive residue from the roof using an erasing disc (film eraser) -2-  .

   Information 

   • Immediately before sticking on, wash off the areas on which you intend to stick the seal using isopropanol to ensure that all traces of silicone, grease and oil are completely removed. 
3. 1.3  Clean bonding surface with isopropanol.

Roof assembly seal (on body side)

1. 2.1  Centre the new roof assembly seal (on body side) -1-  with the gap -Arrow-  facing the middle of the rear roof cut-out.
2. 2.2  Pull protective film off the adhesive tape -3-  and press the roof assembly seal (on body side) -1-  evenly onto the roof -2-  .
3. 2.3  Press roof assembly seal (on body side) -1-  using > 9886/1 - press-on roller  firmly and evenly all the way around onto the roof at two points -2-  .
