Removing Wire Harness For Engine (R4)

  1. Disconnect Section of line at the left.

    1. 1.1 Release and disconnect electric plug connection on oil level sensor -1-  .
    2. 1.2 Release and disconnect electric plug connection on water pump -2-  .
    3. 1.3 Release and disconnect electric plug connection for oil pressure control valve -3-  .
    4. 1.4 Loosen fixing clips -4-  .
  2. Unclip fixing clip -1-  and guide Section of line -2-  to the rear under the coolant pipes -Arrow-  .

  3. Disconnect Section of line for oil pressure switch.

    Electric plug connection

    1. 3.1 Release and disconnect electric plug connection on oil pressure switch -1-  .
    2. 3.2 Release and disconnect electric plug connection for pulse sender -2-  .
    3. 3.3 Release and disconnect cable holder -3-  .
  4. Disconnect Section of line at the left.

    1. 4.1 Release and disconnect electric plug connection on throttle valve -1-  .
    2. 4.2 Release and disconnect electric plug connection for fuel injectors -2-  .
    3. 4.3 Release and disconnect electric plug connection for fuel pressure sensor -3-  .
    4. 4.4 Loosen fixing clips -4-  .
    5. 4.5 Release and disconnect electric plug connection for knock sensor -5-  .
    6. 4.6 Release and disconnect electric plug connection on vacuum valve -6-  .
  5. Release and disconnect electric plug connections for Section of line at the right.

    1. 5.1 Release and disconnect electric plug connection on oil pressure switch -1-  .
    2. 5.2 Release and disconnect electric plug connection for oil pressure control valve -2-  .
    3. 5.3 Release and disconnect electric plug connection on oil pressure switch -3-  .
    4. 5.4 Release and disconnect electric plug connection on vacuum valve -4-  .
    5. 5.5 Unclip fixing clips for Section of line at the top right -5-  .
  6. Release and disconnect electric plug connection on pressure sensor -1-  .

  7. Disconnect Section of line for camshaft control valve.

    Section of line at the top

    1. 7.1 Release and disconnect electric plug connection for intake camshaft control valve -1-  .
    2. 7.2 Release and disconnect electric plug connection for exhaust camshaft control valve -2-  .
    3. 7.3 Release and disconnect electric plug connection for boost pressure adjuster -3-  .
    4. 7.4 Unclip fixing clip -4-  .
  8. Disconnect Section of line for fuel pressure control valve.

    Fuel pressure control valve

    1. 8.1 Release and disconnect electric plug connection for fuel pressure control valve -1-  .
    2. 8.2 Unclip fixing clip -2-  .
  9. Disconnect Section of line for oxygen sensor -2-  .

    Section of line for oxygen sensor

    1. 9.1 Unclip electric plug connection for oxygen sensor -1-  from cable duct bracket -3-  and release and disconnect it.
    2. 9.2 Unclip section of line for oxygen sensor -2-  from cable duct bracket -4-  .
  10. Disconnect Section of line for recirculating air valve for turbocharger.

    Section of line for recirculating air valve for turbocharger

    1. 10.1 Release and disconnect electric plug connection for recirculating air valve for turbocharger -1-  .
    2. 10.2 Release and disconnect electric plug connection for coolant temperature sensor -2-  .
    3. 10.3 Unclip omega clip -3-  for Section of line for recirculating air valve for turbocharger.
  11. Expose the cable duct.

    Ignition coils

    1. 11.1 Release and disconnect electric plug connection for ignition coils -1-  .
    2. 11.2 Release and disconnect electric plug connection on camshaft pulse sender -2-  .
    3. 11.3 Release and disconnect electric plug connection for camshaft actuator -3-  .
  12. Unscrew fastening nuts for ground lines -1-  and disconnect ground lines -2-  from cylinder head.

    Ground straps

  13. Pull cable duct -1-  off bracket -2-  and bracket -3-  and set it aside.

  14. Guide wire harness for engine (R4) to the left side and set it down.
  15. Disconnect wire harness for engine (R4) from engine control unit.

    Engine control module

    1. 15.1 Release and disconnect electric plug connection for main wire harness -1-  .
    2. 15.2 Release and disconnect electric plug connections for engine control unit -2-  .
    3. 15.3 Unclip fixing clip -3-  for Section of line for engine control unit.
  16. Remove wire harness for engine (R4) from the vehicle.
