Removing Front Side-Section Trim Panel

Information 

• The number of fastening screws, fixing clips, plug connections, holders and trim panels can vary depending on equipment. 
• The illustrations for removing and installing the drive mechanism are shown only on one equipment variant and may differ from the actual equipment variant. 
• Some steps must be carried out automatically. 
• Some of the repair illustrations show only one side of the vehicle. 

1. Remove front side-section trim panel -3-  .

Front side-section trim panel

1. 1.1 Reach into the lower area and unclip locking lug -5-  on door sill trim -4-Arrow-  .
2. 1.2 Unclip front side-section trim panel -3-  at the body and guide it out at the rubber door seal -2-  .
3. 1.3 Pull front side-section trim panel -3-  down off the tab -1-  and remove it.

Installing front side-section trim panel 

Information 

Check that the clips are not bent or broken.

Check that all clips are positioned fully and correctly.

Replace damaged or missing clips with new ones.

1. Engage trim panel by pressing it onto the tab on the A-pillar trim panel.
2. Engage lower locking lugs on the trim panel by pressing on to door sill trim.
3. Place rubber door seal over trim panel.
