Removing Dashboard

Information 

• The number of fastening screws, fixing clips, plug connections, holders and trim panels can vary depending on equipment. 
• The illustrations for removing and installing the drive mechanism are shown only on one equipment variant and may differ from the actual equipment variant. 
• Some steps must be carried out automatically. 
• Some of the repair illustrations show only one side of the vehicle. 

1. Remove side air guides.

   Side air guides

   1. 1.1 Cover centre console with protective mat.
   2. 1.2 Unscrew screws -1 and 2-  .
   3. 1.3 Unscrew screw -3-  .
   4. 1.4 Release electric plug connection -4 and 5-  to temperasture sensors and remove it.
   5. 1.5 Remove side air guides.
2. Disconnect passenger airbag.

   Passenger's airbag, side mounting

   1. 2.1 Unscrew screws -1-  for passenger airbag.
   2. 2.2 Unscrew screw -2-  securing holder to bracket.
   3. 2.3 Unscrew screws -3-  securing bracket to dashboard.
3. Remove dashboard.

   Mounting for dashboard, front

   1. 3.1 Unscrew screw -3-  .
   2. 3.2 Unscrew screw -2-  .
   3. 3.3 Unscrew screws -1-  .
4. Unscrew screws -1-  .

5. Pull dashboard forward and lift it up slightly.
6. Guide all electric lines -1-  through the dashboard.

7. Disconnect electric lines.

   Electric plug connections

   1. 7.1 Release electric plug connection -1-  for the loudspeaker and disconnect it.
   2. 7.2 Unclip electric line -2-  at the dashboard.
   3. 7.3
      NOTE: Remove the loudspeakers first when replacing the dashboard.

   Information 

   The help of another person is required.

8. Remove dashboard.
