Removing Dashboard
Information
- The number of fastening screws, fixing clips, plug connections, holders and trim panels can vary depending on equipment.
- The illustrations for removing and installing the drive mechanism are shown only on one equipment variant and may differ from the actual equipment variant.
- Some steps must be carried out automatically.
- Some of the repair illustrations show only one side of the vehicle.
- Remove side air guides.
Side air guides
- 1.1 Cover centre console with protective mat.
- 1.2 Unscrew screws -1 and 2- .
- 1.3 Unscrew screw -3- .
- 1.4 Release electric plug connection -4 and 5- to temperasture sensors and remove it.
- 1.5 Remove side air guides.
- Disconnect passenger airbag.
Passenger's airbag, side mounting
- 2.1 Unscrew screws -1- for passenger airbag.
- 2.2 Unscrew screw -2- securing holder to bracket.
- 2.3 Unscrew screws -3- securing bracket to dashboard.
- Remove dashboard.
Mounting for dashboard, front
- 3.1 Unscrew screw -3- .
- 3.2 Unscrew screw -2- .
- 3.3 Unscrew screws -1- .
- Unscrew screws -1-

Screws
- Pull dashboard forward and lift it up slightly.
- Guide all electric lines -1-
through the dashboard.
Electric lines
- Disconnect electric lines.
Electric plug connections
- 7.1 Release electric plug connection -1- for the loudspeaker and disconnect it.
- 7.2 Unclip electric line -2- at the dashboard.
- 7.3NOTE: Remove the loudspeakers first when replacing the dashboard.
