Removing Transmission Mount

Gear support with hydraulic mount

• The nut -A- on the transmission mount -1- must only be loosened if the transmission mount -1- has to be replaced. 
• Counter at the two flats on the gear support -2- while loosening. 
• Do not loosen the nut -A- during re-installation. 

1. Support the transmission at a suitable position using > VAS 6931 - engine and gearbox jack  .
2. Only for right transmission mount: 

   Disconnect electric wiring harness -1-  .

   1. 2.1  Release and disconnect electric plug connection on oil temperature sensor -2-  .
   2. 2.2  Unclip clips -3-  .
   3. 2.3  Move electric wiring harness -1-  aside.
3. Release and disconnect electric plug connection on transmission mount -1-  .

4. Remove transmission mount -1-  .

   Transmission mount

   1. 4.1  Unscrew screws -2-  and remove spacers -3-  .
   2. 4.2  Unscrew nuts -4-  and counter at the screws -5-  at the same time.
   3. 4.3  Pull screws -5-  out of the rear axle carrier at the side, but leave them in the transmission mount -1-  .
   4. 4.4  Guide transmission mount -1-  down and out.
