WARNING:
Steering-angle sensor not calibrated or calibrated incorrectly
- Unexpected vehicle handling
- Steering-angle sensor does not function
- Malfunction in steering-angle sensor
→ After working on wheel suspension parts, when replacing the steering-angle sensor, and after changing the wheel alignment values, calibrate the steering-angle sensor using the PIWIS Tester .
→ Keep the front wheels in straight-ahead position on the measuring platform during calibration.
→ For vehicles with electromechanical steering, also re-teach the electric steering lock settings.
- If the existing setting (initial measurement values) was changed, complete the following steps (for changing the vehicle height (wheel loads) and wheel alignment values (on front and/or rear axle)).
- Calibrate steering-angle sensor (height sensors).

- Calibrate PASM using PIWIS Tester

- 3.1 Connect PIWIS Tester to the vehicle and switch on the ignition.
- 3.2 Start diagnosis in the PIWIS Tester and select Vehicle.
- 3.3 Select the - PASM control unit - in the control unit overview.
- 3.4 Select the -Maintenance/repairs - menu.
- 3.5 Run the -Calibration - function.
- 3.6 Follow the specifications on the PIWIS Tester .
- Teach steering lock settings.

- If installed: Calibrate front camera.
- Fit brake disc air guides at front and rear.
