Symptom: 

The message "TPM fault - Service necessary" is displayed in the instrument cluster - particularly during the test drive for the sales check or after changing the wheels. 

Action Required: 

Teach wheel electronics using the PIWIS Tester.

Information 

There is a possibility that the wheel electronics must be taught again at a later time using the PIWIS Tester, e.g. when changing a wheel.

The topic is currently the subject of further analysis. Please do not replace the wheel electronics at present, as it cannot be guaranteed at this time that this will correct the problem. As soon as a permanent remedial action is available, this Technical Information will be updated accordingly.
