Removing Cylinder Head Cover For Cylinder Bank 1

NOTE: Dirt and contamination

Risk of damage to units or components
→ Protect components from dirt and contamination.

→ Clean or replace dirty components.

Loosen cable duct -1- .
1. 1.1 Unscrew and remove screws -2- .
2. 1.2 Lay cable duct -1- aside.

Cable duct
Disconnect electric wire harness -1- .
1. 2.1 Unclip clips -2- .
2. 2.2 Set electric wire harness -1- aside.

Electric wire harness for cylinder bank 1
Disconnect vent line -1- .
1. 3.1 Release and disconnect quick connector -2- .
2. 3.2 Close off line connections using suitable stoppers.

Vent line
Remove holder -1- .
1. 4.1 Unscrew screw -2- .
2. 4.2 Remove holder -1- .

Holder for cylinder head cover for cylinder bank 1
Remove cylinder head cover -24- .
1. 5.1 Unscrew screws in the sequence -23 to 1- .
2. 5.2 Remove cylinder head cover -24- .
3. 5.3 Clean cylinder head cover seals, check for signs of damage and replace if necessary.
