Installing Drive Belt

  1. Check pulleys and drive belt for signs of damage.
  2. Install drive belt -1-  .

    If the drive belt is to be re-installed, check the marked running direction. 

    1. 2.1  Fit the drive belt -1-  on the pulleys and align it along the grooves on the pulleys, leaving the pulley for the generator free initially.
    2. 2.2  Turn carrier for tensioning roller -2-  clockwise as far as it will go at the hexagon -3-  and hold it.
    3. 2.3  Fit drive belt -1-  on the generator pulley -4-  and align it along the grooves on the pulley.
    4. 2.4  Carefully allow carrier for tensioning roller -1-  to turn back into its original position, thereby tensioning the drive belt -1-  .

  3. Check that the drive belt is seated and tensioned correctly.
  4. Install spacer sleeve -3-  and fit screw -1-  . Then, tighten using > 9836/1 - socket-wrench insert  and counter at the hexagon -2-  at the same time.

    > Tightening torque 50 N.m (37 ft lb.)
