Installing Oil Pan (Upper Part)

Information 

Sealing faces must be free of oil and grease!

1. Insert new seals on upper part of oil pan -1 to 3-  .

   Seals on oil pan (upper part)

2. Install oil pan (upper part) -24-  .
   1. 2.1  Position oil pan (upper part) -24-  and fit screws -1 to 23-  .
   2. 2.2  Tighten screws in the sequence -1 to 22-  .

      > Tightening torque 13 N.m (9.5 ft lb.) 

   3. 2.3  Tighten screws on line bracket -23-  .

      > Tightening torque 13 N.m (9.5 ft lb.)

      Oil pan (upper part)

3. Install wiring harness for oil pump control valve -1-  in oil pan (upper part) -2-  .
   1. 3.1  Position wiring harness for oil pump control valve -1-  in oil pan (upper part).
   2. 3.2  Clip in retaining clip -4-  .
   3. 3.3  Clip electric line -5-  into the bracket -6-  .
   4. 3.4  Connect and lock electric plug connection -3-  .

   Wiring harness for oil pump control valve

   Information 

   Sealing faces must be free of oil and grease!

4. Insert new  seals on coolant guide.
5. Install coolant guide -1-  .
   1. 5.1  Place coolant guide -1-  in installation position.
   2. 5.2  Fit and tighten screws -2 and 3-  .

      > Tightening torque 13 N.m (9.5 ft lb.)

      Lower coolant guide

6. Insert new  O-rings on lower coolant pipe.
7. Install lower coolant pipe -1-  .
   1. 7.1  Position lower coolant pipe -1-  .
   2. 7.2  Connect coolant hose -5-  .
   3. 7.3  Fit and tighten screw -3-  .

      > Tightening torque 13 N.m (9.5 ft lb.) 

   4. 7.4  Fit and tighten screw -2-  .

      > Tightening torque 13 N.m (9.5 ft lb.) 

   5. 7.5  Fasten spring band clamp -4-  using > VAS 6890 - spring band clamp pliers  .
