Installing Oil Pump

NOTE: Dirt and contamination 
  • Risk of damage to units or components 

    → Protect components from dirt and contamination.

    → Clean or replace dirty components.

  1. Replace sealing rings -1-  .

  2. Check that all dowel sleeves -1-  are fitted.

  3. Position oil pump -1-  .
    1. 3.1  Fit screws -2-  , but do not tighten yet.

    2. 3.2  Push sprocket with drive chain onto the driver.
    3. 3.3  Tighten screws -2-  .

      > Tightening torque 13 N.m (9.5 ft lb.) 

  4. Check the position of the sprocket -1-  . Make sure that the two bores are positioned horizontally -Line X-  for inserting the > 9791 - retaining device  .

  5. Secure the sprocket.
    1. 5.1  > 9791 - Retaining device-1-  must be attached to the sprocket.
    2. 5.2  Screw in and tighten new screw -2-  .

      > Initial tightening 20 N.m (15 ft lb.) 

      > Torque angle 45° 

    3. 5.3  > 9791 - Retaining device-1-  must now be removed from the sprocket.

  6. Install oil pipe -1-  .

    1. 6.1  Position oil pipe -1-  with new sealing rings.
    2. 6.2  Fit and tighten screw -2-  .

      > Tightening torque 13 N.m (9.5 ft lb.)
