Removing Rear Muffler

Information 

• Pre-treat corroded components with anti-rust agent or heat.

1. Detach rear silencer -1-  from particle filters -2-  .
   1. 1.1  Unscrew nuts on exhaust flanges -3-  .
      1. 1.1.1  Replace nuts.

2. Secure rear silencer -1-  using > VAS 6931 - engine and gearbox jack-2-  .
   1. 2.1  > VAS 6931 - Position engine and gearbox jack-2-  centrally below rear silencer -1-  .
   2. 2.2  Guide the tension strap for the > VAS 6931 - engine and gearbox jack-2-  around the -1-  rear silencer and close.

3. Remove rear silencer -1-  .
   1. 3.1  Open clamps -2-  and pull off vacuum lines -3-  .
   2. 3.2  Loosen the screws on the -4-  tension straps until -4-  the -5-  tension straps can be removed from the holder.
   3. 3.3  Pull rear silencer -1-  on > VAS 6931 - engine and gearbox jack  away from the exhaust flanges on the particle filters -6-  .
   4. 3.4  Lower the rear silencer -1-  on the > VAS 6931 - engine and gearbox jack  and guide downwards and out of the vehicle.
