Installing Rear Muffler

1. 2.1  Position rear silencer -1-  on > VAS 6931 - engine and gearbox jack  in the vehicle from below.
2. 2.2  Fit rear silencer -1-  on > VAS 6931 - engine and gearbox jack  by moving it forward onto the exhaust flanges on the particle filters.
3. 2.3  Connect vacuum lines -3-  and secure using new  clamps -2-  and > 3340A - pliers  .

Vacuum line

1. 3.1  Position rear silencer -1-  on rear exhaust system mount.
2. 3.2  Position silencer holder -6-  on rear exhaust system mount.
3. 3.3  Fit and tighten screws for rear exhaust system mount at the top -3-  .

   > Tightening torque 8 N.m (6 ft lb.) 

4. 3.4  Fit and tighten screws for rear exhaust system mount at the bottom -2-  .

   > Tightening torque 8 f6 ft lb.) N.m 

5. 3.5  Tighten nuts -4-  and counter at the hexagon -5-  at the same time.

   > Tightening torque 23 N.m (17 ft lb.)

Rear silencer on rear exhaust system mount

1. 4.1  Screw on new exhaust flange nuts -3-  and tighten.

   > Tightening torque 23 N.m (17 ft lb.)
