Installing Rear Trailing Arm

1. Installation is performed in reverse order to removal.

1. 1.1 Move camber eccentric adjuster to the position marked during removal.
2. 1.2 Move the wheel suspension into zero position (0 position). Lift up wheel carrier using > VAS 6931 - engine and gearbox jack  until the lower trailing arm is horizontal in relation to the vehicle floor.
3. 1.3 Tighten screws and nuts according to the tightening torque specifications.

   Mounting for rear trailing arm

   • New lock nut on level sensor holder: > Tightening torque 10 N.m (7.4 ft lb.) 
   • Trailing arm to wheel bearing housing -3-: > Tightening torque 120 N.m (88.5 ft lb.) 
   • Trailing arm to rear-axle carrier side section (camber eccentric adjuster) -4-: > Tightening torque 110 N.m (81.1 ft lb.) 
   • Diagonal arm to trailing arm -2-: > Tightening torque 160 N.m (118 ft lb.) 
4. 1.4 Clip upper section of air guide -3-  onto trailing arm.

5. 1.5 Position lower section of air guide -1-  onto top section -2-  and tighten screws.

> Tightening torque 3.2 N.m (2.4 ft lb.)
