Removing Rear Disc Brake Pads
Information
Brake fluid reservoir
- Do not open the brake system.
- Do not loosen the brake line from the brake calliper when loosening the brake calliper.
- The core of the warning contact line must not be exposed! Worn insulation is not important!
- If necessary, remove a little brake fluid from the reservoir by suction in order to prevent an overflow when the disc brake pads are pushed back.
- Remove cables -2-
and contacts -3-
for brake pad wear indicator.
Brake wear cable with contacts
- 1.1 Unclip and disconnect cable plug for -2- brake pad wear indicator from holder.
- 1.2 Pull the cable out of the guide on the brake calliper -Arrow- .
- 1.3 Carefully pull off contacts -3- for brake pad wear indicator at the brake pads.
- Remove brake calliper -1-
(do not open the brake hydraulic system).

- 2.1 If the edge of the brake disc is protruding at the outer diameter, first reset the brake pads slightly and evenly.
- 2.2 Unscrew screws -2-

Only replace screws if damaged.
- 2.3 Place brake calliper -1-
on a suitable base (e.g. universal lift). Use a soft cloth as an intermediate layer to prevent paint damage.
When positioning the brake calliper on the base, carefully guide the brake line and brake hose!

. Then press the disc brake pads back evenly > Pressing back brake pads

Pressing back brake pads
- Remove brake pads.
- Remove pad retaining springs -3- and replace them.
