Removing Inner Tension Rope At The Sides
Installation position of inner tension rope at the sides
- Open rear convertible top lock.
- Drill out rivets for convertible top lock -1-
and pull convertible top lock -2-
out in direction of arrow -A-
.
Removing rear lock
- Disengage tension rope from rear convertible top lock.
Disengaging inner tension rope at the sides
- 3.1 Pull off adhesive strips -1- .
- 3.2 Press end of tension rope -2- up in direction of arrow -A- and guide it out of the convertible top lock in direction of arrow -B- .
- Disengage locking ball -2-
and guide tension rope -1-
out of the roof frame.
Disengaging tension rope
- Drill out side rivets at the bottom -1-
and detach convertible top covering.
Drilling out lower rivets at the sides
- Drill out rivets for tensioning spring -1-
from the passenger compartment.

The tension rope can be pulled in during installation using the cord.
- Guide out inner tension rope at the sides.
Guiding out inner tension rope at the sides
- 7.1 Secure the cord -2- to the tension rope -1- .
- 7.2 Guide end of tension rope -1- out in direction of arrow -A- .
- 7.3 Guide end of tension rope -3- out in direction of arrow -B- .
- 7.4 Press convertible top covering -4- aside in direction of arrow -C- .
- 7.5 Guide ends of tension rope -1, 3 and 5- downward and pull them out.
