Removing Rear Roof Strut

Information 

Some of the repair illustrations show only one side of the vehicle. Naturally, some steps also have to be performed on the opposite side of the vehicle as well. These must be carried out as a mirror image of the steps shown.

Installation position of rear roof strut

1. Drill out rivets for rear strap -1-  from the passenger compartment.

2. Drill out rivets -1-  for convertible top covering at the sides.

   Lower side rivets

3. Loosen roof struts on convertible top frame.

   Removing rear roof strut

   1. 3.1 Fold up convertible top covering.
   2. 3.2 Drill out rivets at the sides -1-  .
   3. 3.3 Pull out roof strut -2-  to the side and guide the convertible top covering out of the groove -3-  .
