Removing Front Roof Strut

Information 

Some of the repair illustrations show only one side of the vehicle. Naturally, some steps also have to be performed on the opposite side of the vehicle as well. These must be carried out as a mirror image of the steps shown.

Information 

The convertible top must be moved to various positions in order to gain the best possible access to the fitting areas shown below.

Installation position of front roof strut

1. Remove roof strut.

   Removing front roof strut

   1. 1.1 Drill out rivets -1-  for retaining straps.
   2. 1.2 Unscrew and remove fastening screw -2-  .
   3. 1.3 Pull out roof strut in direction of arrow -A-  and guide convertible top covering and retaining strap out of the grooves -3 and 4-  .
