Removing Front Backrest Cover

1. Mask the backrest shell -1-  in the marked area -2-  with adhesive tape (2-3 layers).

2. Disconnect plug connection for height adjuster.

   1. 2.1  Disconnect plug connection -1-  .
   2. 2.2  Unclip line -Arrow-  .
3. Remove height adjustment switch -2-  by unclipping it -Arrow-  .

   Airbag reinforcement

   1. 5.1  Pull off cover -2-  at the Velcro fasteners -1-  all the way around -Arrow-  .
   2. 5.2  Unhook the reinforcement -3-  in the side airbag area from the holder -4-  . -Arrow A- 
6. Press seat cover -1-  down over the side cushion -Arrow B-  and disengage it at the seat shell -Arrow B-  .

7. Remove mounting for belt feed-through element.

   1. 7.1  Pull off felt adhesive tape -1-  .
   2. 7.2  Unscrew nut -2-  .
8. Remove the seat cover -1-  from the belt guide area. -Arrows- 

   To do this, pull the Bowden cable out of the seat cover. This must be replaced following removal.

9. Press seat cover -1-  down over the side cushion -Arrow B-  and disengage it at the seat shell -Arrow B-  .

2. 11.2  Remove reinforcement -2-  with backrest cover -3-  from the seat shell -4-  (-Arrow-  ).
