Assembly Instructions For Retainer Plate For Headlight-Washer Spray Nozzle

Information 

Surface condition 

• The bonding surfaces must be free from oil, dirt, moisture, and paint and oxide layers. 
• Clean bonding surfaces with isopropyl and using clean, lint-free disposable cloths. 
• Do not leave bonding surfaces exposed for more than 2 hours, otherwise bonding surfaces will have to be cleaned again.

Temperature 

• A processing temperature of between 20°C and 25°C applies to the surrounding area and materials. 

Information 

Applying adhesive 

• Apply adhesive using the EPX application system (from 3M). 
• Only use original mixing nozzles. 
• Processing time: 2-3 minutes. If this is exceeded, use a new mixing nozzle. 
• Apply adhesive in such a way that the bead of adhesive is pressed in by approx. 50% when joining components. 
• Affix the retainer plate within a processing time of 2-3 minutes. 

Information 

Final bonding strength 

• The required handling strength is achieved after approx. 3 hours. Do not move affixed retainer plates before then. 
• The final bonding strength is achieved after approx. 24 hours. Do not apply pressure on the bonded joint during this time. 
• At 70°C, the final bonding strength is achieved after approx. 30 minutes. Do not apply pressure on the bonded joint during this time.

9. Remove securing tape after 3 hours at the earliest.
