Installing Closing Element For Longitudinal Member

Information 

• Before final assembly, make sure you fully understand all the work steps involved and carry out a trial assembly without applying adhesive. 
• The bonding process can only be carried out reliably when a smooth and swift sequence of operations is guaranteed. 
• Do not begin bonding work until all materials and tools necessary for later repair work are available. 

1. Apply adhesive > ADHESIVE 000.043.206.30  on the joint area of the body.

   Apply adhesive evenly over the entire bonding surface. > Application depth 0.5 mm

2. Apply adhesive on closing element for longitudinal member.

   Apply adhesive evenly over the entire bonding surface. > Application depth 0.5 mm

   Preparing closing element for longitudinal member (spare part)

   1. 2.1  Also apply an adhesive bead of sealant all around the bonding surface. > Application depth 3 mm 
3. Insert closing element for longitudinal member.
4. Insert connecting elements.

   1. 4.1  Insert blind rivets > BLIND RIVETS 999.190.227.01-1-. 
   2. 4.2  Screw in flow drill screws > FLOW DRILL SCREW 999.073.917.01. 

      > 5X00IN24 SETTING SELF-TAPPING SCREWS
