• The tools for working on steel and aluminum must always be kept separate from each other. We recommend that you color code the tools using a system similar to that used for the  > V.A.G 2010/2A-1 - Tool trolley with  > V.A.G 2010/2A - Aluminum tool set  , for example.

1. Make cut.

2. Drill through clinch points using a drill bit with a diameter of > Diameter 6.5 mm  .

   Information 

   Loosen connection points on one side only. Do not damage the sheet-metal panel underneath.

   1. 2.1  Drill punch rivets in area -C-  only as far as the plate lying underneath.

3. Drill out spotwelds. > Nr.129 - Spotweld drill bit  > VAS 882 001 - Spot-weld remover 

   Information 

   Loosen connection points on one side only. Do not damage the sheet-metal panel underneath.

   1. 3.1  Drill out spotwelds on lower corner plate from the inside as far as the plate lying underneath.
