Preparing A-Pillar Reinforcement

Information 

Drill out spotwelds A through two plate thicknesses.

1. Fit in new part and secure it to the body. Check gap dimensions.

2. Drill a hole for plug-welding using inert gas in area -A-  using > Diameter 8.0 mm  .

   Information 

   Loosen connection points on one side only. Do not damage the sheet-metal panel underneath.

   1. 2.1  Drill a hole for plug-welding using inert gas in area -B-  using > Diameter 8.0 mm  .
   2. 2.2  Drill holes for rivets in area -C-  using > Diameter 6.6 mm  .

3. Drill through the existing holes on the roof frame with the new A-pillar reinforcement in area -A-  .
